Sometimes kids amaze me. Last night after a dinner of pizza and corn, Ty sat on the couch with me so we could call my parents who are currently in Arizona. Ty talked for a minute or so then gave me back the phone. I chatted for a bit and then he asked for the phone back. He simply wanted to tell them he loved them. This I am sure made my Mom tear up since she is famous for being emotional (she cried every year I left for camp and boarding school).
Well I got involved in the conversation again and Ty put his head on my stomach. Maybe 5 minutes later I realized he had gotten very quiet. Sure enough I looked down and he was fast asleep. I had basically been talking inches from his ear and he still managed to crash. Amazing! Wish I could do that.
Off to Chicago again. Be back to tell you all how the bribe went. Thanks again for all the comments.

I love those little moments! Just goes to show, it's not about expensive vacations or creating the best Xmas ever...but about the crook of our arms being where our kids feel safest and most loved.
It is absolutely a skill I wish I possessed!
Even now when my boy is a teenager, he will fall asleep next to me on the couch sometimes... I still love it. Have a safe trip to Chicago.
My kids can all asleep anywhere, anytime too. Thank goodness!
