Bluebonnet Video!

Dad's a video blogger now. A clip from today playing in a field of bluebonnets. Shortly after this though I stepped on a fire ant mound. Ouch!

Tug-o-War

Whether it is a sock, a string, or the sleeve of a jacket, Ty likes to play tug of war with me. Sometimes it cracks me up like he is a cat or something. But here we are in the backyard and he's grabbed the string from a yo-yo that I was trying to show him how to use. I'm not that good at yo-yo-ing though.

Wranglers

Here's Ty with the Austin Wranglers mascot, Trigger, and one of the players, Dane Krager. If you haven't seen an arena football game live, it is a whole other experience.

Bowl-o-Rama

I am sneaking in a few more pics before I put all the AZ shots up. Last month Ty and I went to an event at one of the local bowling alleys. It was his first time to actually roll the ball down the lane and hit a few pins (bumpers were up, yes). What I love about this photo is check out Eddie Van Halen captured on the video screen behind Ty.

AZ Preview

We are back from a glorious week in AZ with Gram and G-pop. The weather was record setting hot for this time of year (90's everyday). As Dad edits the photos (I shot almost 150), here is one I snagged quick from the group. One year later in front of that railing on the patio (although he's standing on a stool!)

AZ Flashback

This is Ty from 2 years ago out in Scottsdale. We are headed out there again next week to spend spring break with Gram and G-pop. Should be interesting to compare shots of past and present. He may even be taller than this railing now!

Blue Collar Boy

More fun from our trip to the Austin Children's Museum. Another one of the exhibits allowed the kids to sort various building materials and put them in the right shaped hole where they dropped down a chute. Then you could retrieve them from a vacuum tube which provided giggles and fun for Ty. It was like being Bob the Builder for real!

Country Western

Momma don't let your babies grow up to be Cowboys... Ty and I went down to the Austin Children's Museum recently. They have a great interactive exhibit called "Austin Kiddie Limits" where the children can dress up and appear on camera with instruments. Do we have a future George Strait in the family?

Inked

Surprise. Dad was adventurous earlier this year and had some custom artwork done (left arm). The apple represents NYC (where Dad was born) and the cowboy hat represents Texas (where Ty was born). Your comments are welcome.

Here's a link to the studio that did the work (actually from St. Louis). They were in Austin for a tattoo festival. And here's a link also to the actual artist (Jason) who helped design this and applied it.

Swingtown

Tarzan is getting too big for the "baby" swing. Now we are trying out the "big kid" swing. Either way, Dad still has to push.
